Pros

The work was remote is the only pro that comes to mind. Oh also that I’m now free.

Cons

Awful for your mental health, still recovering from the trauma of being abused : constant backstabbing, dishonesty and blame for incompetence at high level being put on whoever was out of favour that day. Literal harassment and verbal abuse almost daily and living in fear of what’s going to trigger another attack.

Pros

Pay was good but not worth the overall experience

Cons

I have ptsd from my experience working here and is unlike anywhere i have ever worked before. The CEO is unstable, narcissistic and manipulative. I have witnessed shouting and firing several employees and she has also impacted a lot of people’s mental health over the years. The behaviour i witnessed most of the time was unprofessional and very erratic. The CEO always passed blame and never took any accountability. Whenever she fired someone, everyone always used to think who is next? There would always be claims of now having “the perfect team” right after firing someone, only to then target someone else a couple of months later. Severe lack of communication, gaslighting and always a need to be obsessively in control making employees unable to do their jobs properly. As the company is small and those hired are mainly contractors, there are no formal departments in place such as HR to enforce policies and look after employees like most other companies. The CEO controls everything so it was very difficult to raise any concerns. Those that spoke up in the past would get a letter from a lawyer about “defamation of character” towards the CEO.
