Pros
I can confidently say working at Optimus Coach Academy has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The three and a half years have flown by. The organisation truly embodies the principles it teaches, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence. This supportive culture stems from the CEO and founder Ruth Kudzi. She genuinely cares about the employees' well-being and professional development. As a coach herself she practices what she preaches, actively listening to the team, providing regular feedback, always giving encouragement and opportunities to grow. Her open-door policy makes you feel valued and heard. Ruth sets the example in terms of work ethic and professionalism. The workplace culture at Optimus is truly special. Everyone, from colleagues to management, is supportive, approachable, and invested in collective success. It’s a place where ideas are celebrated, and teamwork is seamless. Ruth is also deeply committed to the employees' professional development. Hosting regular training sessions with the training team and also mentoring. Hard work and achievements never go unnoticed. The management makes a genuine effort to celebrate successes, big and small, which fosters a sense of pride and motivation among the team. The combination of a purpose-driven mission, a positive and supportive environment, and countless growth opportunities makes it an enjoyable place to work. Optumus also recognises the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Flexible schedules and a focus on employee well-being create an environment where I have been able to thrive personally and professionally.
Cons
We do not get to meet up in person as much as I would like as we are in different parts of the UK and work virtually for the most part. We are trying to remedy this.
