“Drink the optomi cool aid or get fired” -management The job literally only consists of making cold calls all day in an effort to set up meetings, with little variation in daily tasks. Communication and transparency within the company are poor, and leadership often provides minimal feedback or warning before letting people go. While some managers genuinely care about their teams, others are largely unavailable and only engage with new hires right before major decisions are made. The training program is highly disorganized, lacking consistency, clear expectations, and reliable performance metrics. Many employees are told they are doing well in one-on-one meetings, only to be abruptly terminated a few days later. Favoritism is a major issue throughout the organization, creating an uncomfortable and inequitable atmosphere. Certain individuals receive noticeably more support, attention, and opportunities than others, directly influencing their success. Terminations often happen suddenly and without a clear explanation or opportunity for improvement. New hires are not given adequate time to adjust before being held to strict and sometimes unclear performance standards, leading to unnecessary stress and confusion. There is also a lack of empathy or transitional support for those who are let go. Employees are frequently expected to relocate or make significant life changes despite having little job security, leaving many feeling financially and emotionally exhausted.

There are some great people here and the training program prepares you pretty well

Cons

The culture is highly metrics-driven, which can make job security feel uncertain. Employees may be placed on a performance improvement plan after one underperforming quarter, even following periods of strong success. Expectations often remain unchanged despite broader market challenges, creating significant pressure during slower business cycles. Super hard to make good commission.
