Pros

Fellow employees are rather nice, but I don't know how long they will be there for.

Cons

TL;DR: They appear to be low on money and are not transparent about it. They were expecting to get some funding but did not get it so they let me go after working there for only 3 weeks. During the exit interview, I was told that they have no indication on when they will be getting that money. Be cautious and make sure you get as much info from them (if you can). Here is some background info: I was living in Wisconsin when I applied for a job here. They said they would offer me a position as a biomedical engineer if I could move there in 2-3 weeks. They said that they needed someone to move there ASAP to get working on their projects. After some debate, I decided that I couldn't move from Wisconsin to California in that short amount of time so I declined. About a month or so later they reached out to me again to see if I was still interested. I said I would be if they offered me more time to move. After much more debate, they gave me 1.5 months to move, which I accepted. Here is my experience with the company: 1. Your health insurance does not kick in immediately. You will need to wait 1-2 months beforehand. Make sure you have a backup plan. 2. I started working there and after 3 weeks they let me go. They told me that they were expecting to get some money but did not get it, so they layed me off with no notice. They told me California is an "at will" state, so "today will be your last day." They gave me no indication that funding would be an issue during the hiring phase, and also told me that they were looking for someone to work there for a very long time. 3. Also, expect to travel a lot. I was told by other engineers that you will have to travel to customer sites almost once a month.
