Pros

The President / COO is very hard working and knowledgeable. She is what inspired me to continue on despite initial friction between team members. The VP of Compliance is also very kind and helpful. If either of these two left the company, I wouldn't see value in working here.

Cons

Small company, not much room to advance in other roles, poor training, high-turnover, very few sales / new clients brought in. The customer care team is great if you enjoy being tied to your desk, phone line and missing out on after hour company events. This team operates with direct micromanaging. The managers can see into your inbox and every question that comes your way. This team is very small and to my knowledge, never surpasses four team members. If and when the company grows, there should be more than four people as the work is very time consuming and manual. This team is graded off of response rates, numbers and has a dedicated clock in / clock out frame work. Upon my time at Orange Tree, I went through three direct managers within one year. Coming into this role, I was informed that "not many survive", however, I was willing to take that risk. Now that I have moved on in my career, I am much more happier, content and I am treated like an adult. My new company values hard working and kind individuals that want to see others succeed.

I'm happy to hear that you have landed in a position where you feel valued and appreciated as that is always our wish for everyone we meet. Based on your feedback, we fell short in creating that environment for you and for that I'm very sorry. i would agree that working directly with clients is challenging and difficult work and that we have experienced some turn over through the years in search of the unique person that is best suited for this position. Yet the performance of Orange Tree's Client Success team speaks for itself as they have achieved at least a 95% retention rate year over year for the past 10 years. This has been and continues to be an extraordinary team. I appreciate your comments that more training is needed. And I think you're right. One of the reasons we implemented a highly visible system is to both facilitate training and provide much needed work/life balance to our Client Success Team so that when they are out of the office they can refresh and rejuvenate with the confidence that the rest of the team has visibility to their work and can very adeptly back them up and meet the needs of our clients. We are always thinking about how we can improve the training and onboarding of our colleagues as we deeply desire to be a workplace where everyone can thrive, be part of a strong team, work on challenging projects, and feel both appreciated and valued. Pros

Lower management in IT was awesome and always had our backs.

Cons

Executives loved to talk about transparency while springing new info on us all time time, information that they had know for a while.
