Pros

my team is great -as a team we are very close probably my favorite part about the job is the people i work with. the almost 3 day weekends we get is really nice. nice to have your own office. at my site we're not pit against eachother so its not like you end up needing to compete with your team for numbers so that helps with the culture.

Cons

the nature of the work is incredibly uninspiring, repetitive and there is no room for growth. every day is the same, im doing the same task over and over and over again. advisors take the biggest hit and while management tries to help it is quite superficial and we get all the blame for everything. its kinda like a position where you can do everything right but still be blamed. as an admissions advisor you have 0 control in the outcome of everything and just feel like a cog in the system. i care a lot about my students and its very frustrating sometimes when i feel like im just leading them on/have no decision or pull. very long hours (7:30am). feels kind of ridiculous to require advisors to be in person so often when this is 99% a phone/remote job. i go into the office to sit in my little cubicle and make dials and leave voicemails for 9.5 hours a day.
