Pros
There are very few startup companies that manage to develop a product which is so valuable to the extent that customers are willing to pay top dollars and commit their time to. Origami did it and positioned itself to scale into an enterprise and become a market leader in its space. As an employee at Origami, I learned to identify the critical parts that factor into the product and customer development process of a company that is selling to the largest brands in the world. Learning from seasoned entrepreneurs and top notch peers who developed, and scaled, category defining products in the world leading companies such as Google, Facebook, Juniper, Netflix etc., was a humbling experience for me. This experience, without any doubt, shaped and sharpened my professional skills and brought me up to par with the Silicon Valley grade.
Cons
Working in a startup environment is demanding and is not for everyone. It is very personal. There are days that you are asking yourself why am I doing it. Every startup has people that are just not built for this type of environment and has different expectations.
