Michael and Dave are very thoughtful, authentic and effective leaders. The management cares about the well-being of the employees and provides adequate support and resources to succeed. There is trust and team empowerment. Origin is very investor-centric and embodies the core value “do the right thing” in all of its decisions from deal-sourcing to fee management. As a result, the company is highly innovative and at any point teams are constantly working on new products/features/services to improvise the RE landscape. This provides abundant opportunities for team members to voice ideas, create meaningful impact and grow within the firm.

Origin is a fast-growing innovative company and strives to be the best at what it does. As a result, team members must be ready to rise-up and keep pace with growth. This requires people with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to look at the bigger picture that sometimes goes beyond the workings of their role. Not everyone is cut out for this, but people who are will find their experience at Origin truly rewarding and enjoyable.

There's plenty of opportunity for growth at Origin. Management is very easy to communicate with. They care about the success and well-being of their team members, beyond their career at Origin. I have been given the opportunity to work on and research the technology that I want to. I've been given responsibility over our project that I never had before. That tells me that the management trust me and wants to set me up to succeed. The people I work with are my favorite part of Origin. Everyone is passionate about their job and the well-being of the company. They're fun to be around and they care about you beyond work. The financial compensation is competitive with the market, and you get a considerable amount of travel time.

Since it is a small company, with a tech department starting from the ground up, there are periods of time where everyone is expected to give 110% to meet a deadline. That's what I expected when I took the job. Everyone at Origin cares about the company and wants to see it succeed. I personally don't mind putting in that extra effort when the time comes, because majority of the time Origin is a relaxed work environment that treats its employees well. The management is very understanding when I need to take time off for personal reasons or traveling.
