Is this your company?

Do not put your clients through this awful service. - Contractor Orion Project Services Employee Review

Pros

There are literally no positives that come to mind using Orion "Services".

Cons

Not only was the Orion staff member abusive, but she was constantly unprofessional to the point that she would call and threaten us whilst having food in her mouth. She was either i) as close to illiterate as a so-called professional could be, or ii) unimaginably lazy when sending company-approved emails. Key dates would be incorrect, with last minute bookings costing the employer company several hundred pounds extra due to the Orion employees’ apathy. She needed to be prompted at least twice to do even the most minute task. Not only was she a nightmare to deal with, but her manager even sent out contracts with incorrect employee names on them. It has been 24 days since we finished the contracted job with them, and our payment is still pending with our only contact telling us that she is going on holidays before she approves them. In a nutshell, if you want any shred of quality service, do not hire Orion.

Pros

Awesome benefits, plenty of team building/ employee moral events, friendly staff, simple and easy weekly time submittal, great company to work with!

Cons

Hard to find new work once contract ends, new management seems disinterested in helping existing contractors find new work (could be due to slow oil and gas industry)

Pros

Well known, on the PSL of a number of major well-known clients. You will always have reqs to work on.

Cons

very little support from management, it is family run business (the savages) - so expect nepotism, cronyism etc. Very bad reputation in the USA after an employee was caught stealing (not small sums) from the Business over the course of 2-3 years, this is public info available on the Houston Court websites etc. There were other issues with the management - one person in particular. I wont go into the details but he is no longer with the company. Ask around town about and in recruitment circles to get details, virtually all the stories you will hear are true and then some. The commission scheme was 10% - paid out quarterly, and then they reduced it to 7% and paid out montly.... aka stealing your hard earned commission after the fact
