Pros

Nice coworkers, decent office space, good location, great projects.

Cons

Never in my life have I been spoken to or treated so terribly. What miserable people you must be to treat people this way. If you are a young woman, you will be treated worse. I cannot believe in 2024 I am saying that. The office manager is just as bad as the owner, absolute miserable people. You are constantly yelled at (in front of everyone) and never praised. You are asked to stay late constantly, there is no respect for boundaries or personal life. If you stay 3 hours late, they won't even say thank you or goodbye to you. You are scolded for everything, you can't do anything right. You are not allowed to talk to coworkers, but other people can. You're not allowed to be on your phone, but other people can. Favoritism is real. You can't ask clarifying questions without being humiliated. If you're 1 min late, they dock your pay, and you can't make it up at lunch, they make you stay late. But other people can. You are not allowed to have opinions, laugh, or smile. It is truly unbelievable. Then they wonder why morale is so low. It is a nice step on the career ladder to have on your resume. But the sacrifice you have to make being so unhappy and treated so unbelievably poor, is the price you pay. In my opinion, not worth it. This position is a revolving door. I felt very harrassed and abused here.

Pros

You are rewarded for good performance and hard work. Excellent opportunity to work on amazing projects at beautiful job sites. You can take ownership of things if you want to and you prove you can handle it. You’ll get get a first class education on how to perform at a high level not just at work but in life.

Cons

Not really a con just honest opinion. You will be fairly treated to the level of your performance. If you are making a lot of mistakes you’ll hear it. If you only make a mistake here and there, you’ll have no issue and be happy. Expectations are high but not unfair or unreasonable. You will be made aware of where you are messing up with high levels of transparency. Ultra high end clients require perfection in the end product. To have have a great end product it will require everyone to a good job. If you’re lazy or afraid to roll up your sleeves and work, this place isn’t for you. If you work hard, learn from honest mistakes and have high levels of common sense you can really thrive here.

Pros

Misleading information at your interview makes you feel positive. You have employment.

Cons

If you like waking up each day wondering when you will get reprimanded for taking a lunch break, or for using the photocopier when you were clearly asked to print something? Then this is the place for you. Everyone is spread out in the office to ensure there is no teamwork or camaraderie within this lack-lustre work environment. On a call with a client or vendor? Forget about that because being on the phone is clearly not productive so you better hang up mid-call! Feel like being embarrassed in front of your coworkers to drive home the feeling that you are alone and insignificant? This is the place for you. Feel like being demeaned on a daily basis?
