Pros

Pros: Interesting engineering projects. Some talented and hardworking colleagues.

Cons

The culture felt unusually insular and at times, uncomfortable. There was a strong sense of being constantly monitored by senior leadership. If you weren’t considered a “good fit,” there appeared to be subtle but consistent pressure applied that often resulted in people being pushed out rather than supported. There was a noticeable amount of gossiping and internal politics, which created an atmosphere of distrust. Forming friendships sometimes felt complicated, particularly if it overlapped with relationships leadership or directors already had. Workload expectations were often unrealistic and very high. Burnout was visible across engineering and support teams. The intensity often felt unsustainable with limited acknowledgement of the impact on staff wellbeing. Many people privately voiced how unhappy they were but were reluctant to speak up publicly for fear of some sort of retribution. During recruitment, significant emphasis was placed on social events like the summer ball and Christmas party. While those are pleasant perks they don’t meaningfully address deeper cultural and structural issues within the business.
