Pros

Outback was a special place for a long time. Making friends and building relationships within the community. Plenty of vacation days and great insurance.

Cons

The biggest problem with Bloomin Brands is their lack of care. Managers work weekends, holidays, and over 55 hours a week. Yet our jobs were continually threaten because of a third party health audit called Ecosure. We could pass a health inspection with a 100%, but if we stumble even a little on this Ecosure test it meant our jobs.

Pros

The store level can be a really rewarding experience, I come to work and genuinely enjoy my job and coworkers.

Cons

Hovering corporate can be a headache. You don't have a say on which location you are sent to after training just a consideration of your location and commute. The bonus system is lacking with metrics that are hard to obtain and only quarterly. Raises are hardly cost of living wages and seniority isnt rewarded as new managers typically come in making as much if not more than senior managers.
