Pros

Awesome people! Mike Wethington, CEO, leads by example and the culture is truly a great reflection of the values of the company from the top down. Also their technology is differentiated and works really well. Very compelling ROI.

Cons

The industry Outsell serves is the biggest con. Automotive Dealers, Owners, Principals & General Managers in particular, are notoriously flaky and not people of high character. Also, even though Outsell has a truly differentiated product that has a strong and quantifiable ROI, Dealers tend to lump all vendors and solution providers into the same bucket. The industry is very antiquated and so selling a cutting edge AI Machine Learning platform can be a challenge due to the end buyers ignorance to technology that has been deployed successfully in other markets for 5+ years. Lastly, the churn rate is obnoxious. When your commission is directly tied to them staying on the SaaS platform for a minimum of 6 months, there is a high probabability you may not see all of your hard earned commissions. This is not a reflection of the product or company, but again, rather a symptom of the automotive market as a whole.

Pros

Hybrid work, work events, coworkers are nice.

Cons

An entire department complained about a toxic manager a few months ago. That manager’s manager told everyone that they would ignore any anonymous complaints about the toxic manager to HR. Ignoring anonymous complaints to HR is opening up the company to lawsuits, etc. The toxic manager was allowed free rein to harass people, including: Using a sarcastic tone with subordinates, commenting on people’s looks (You look terrible today! Did you party last night or what!?), making up lies about employees, mocking employees, etc. The entire department is miserable because of the toxic manager and the toxic manager keeps getting accolades by upper management. This manager has never been held accountable for their actions.
