Pros

The job itself is very easy when you get used to it. Like a video game basically. You will probably encounter different things every day, so you are unlikely to get bored. If you like encountering messed up situations where everybody laughs at the messed up stuff, it's great. Most of the people working there are phenomenal, very nice and helpful- that goes for both managers and coworkers. The company is very nice to its employees compared to its competitors. Benefits are good.

Cons

You will not know when your start time is until the day before, every single day. the schedule is EXTREMELY unpredictable. It can be fun once you get used to it, but say goodbye to your social life from spring through fall. You will be paid less than some of the unskilled laborers you deliver concrete to. Most of the employees are awesome but some middle management and ambiguous positions are filled by very hardheaded people. Many of the job roles that work with you in the company are informal and have an ambiguous power relationship with you: you will have to develop an informal friendly relationship with them or you will suffer. (for example, mechanics; if you have a bad relationship with one, they will make you suffer a lot, or plant managers, same. Neither of these roles is your superior, but they have the informal power to make your work life horrible)

Pros

No defined start or end time. As long as a ticket gets done, no one bats an eye. 2 hour day or 12 hour day, it doesn't matter. (Not a true pro if you care about showing up on time and getting home on time. Often times would wait 1-2hours in the building lobby before coworkers show up to start work). Great on the job training and you are provided with all the tools and materials you could need.

Cons

Incredibly poor pay. Manager lacks in respect. Politics come up quite frequently in the office and it can be a very hostile work place if you don't fit their cookie cutter mold of what an Ozinga employee should be like. Local travel includes overnights out of state, five hour drives to complete one ticket and a five hour drive back. Definitely not local. Insurance is awful and barely covers what you need. Incredibly dangerous at times with the manager not necessarily caring that it is dangerous. He does care if you have hi-vis on or not, but does not care about unsafe actions to get a job done quicker. They will require a drug test in order to work for them, you are required to go to a steel mill. However, note that they may not require this until you have worked there for one year. It will take one year to receive a desk to sit at, otherwise, you get a chair in a corner.
