Pros

If you find a good team to work with, your work life balance can be ok.

Cons

Senior management and their people policies are from the dark ages. The new Chief People Officer is not worthy of the name - more like Chief Subjugation Officer. She is the least approachable, least amenable executive in the senior leadership team. PA took months to respond to Black Lives Matter and are now scrambling to cobble together some rhetoric about supporting the black community. Maternity leave policies are barely better than statutory requirements, and the stench of misogyny wafting from most of the senior teams is overpowering, especially in relation to accommodating parent/child care requirements. There is lip service paid to diversity, but precious little action. During Covid, the chief people officer illicitly and with implicit threats of potential employment risk to you if you did not agree, forced the company employees to take a pay cut without any legal backing. There is a hard ceiling in terms of progression if you do not go down the sales route, with no recognition for sales at lower ranks, thus if you do not meet your (very high) utilisation targets, there is no balancing of your performance to take account of sales you've contributed to. The sales model is essentially a pyramid scheme, whereby the partners leech off the MCs and juniors, and management are only interested in maintaining their share value for a potential PE buyout.
