Pros
Stable job with some advancement.
Cons
The culture at PACCAR is stifling and depressing. It's quieter than a library the majority of the day with little collaboration. You don't feel like you can express honest opinions to management for fear of being cast out. The processes are old and PACCAR does not promote change management whatsoever. The systems don't communicate to each other and the current system is so out-dated that it is no longer supported. We've had so much turnover in IT that they can't even keep up with all the systems issues. Low pay for all the responsibilities of the position. And unless you are a white male, don't expect to go too far within the company. Case in point: a former employee of mine, a white male, was promoted 2 levels in pay grade, something I was told in the past was not the way PACCAR operated. That I had to earn my way to the next level and then the next. Should have known they meant because I am female that I was never going to get the same treatment.
