Cons
Not sure where to even start.. Terrible benefits. 5 Days Vacation until you work there for 3+ years EXPENSIVE healthcare that is accepted at very few places Doesn’t match 401k Management is an embarrassment. The management I dealt with refused to embrace new ideas/technology, acted as though they knew everything and everyone else was beneath them. Their business is suffering because of this. I feel as though my career did not excel here. I guess you could say I learned what not to do! The owner’s children are directors, and while this is the only reason they have such a high position, they treat their employees disrespectfully and don’t seem to know what they are doing. Nepotism has never worked. Don’t ever ask for a raise or a better title. This will not happen. HR might as well not even exist. Ask her for anything and you will receive a nasty email, where she claims that she is too busy to help you. She is also very aware about the culture issue at PAIGE, but won’t lift a precious finger to help. She makes everyone feel uncomfortable, and scared to reach out if they have any issues in their department. She is the exact opposite of what HR exists for. The quality of the clothing represents exactly how they run their company, it is cheap. People are paying $200 for a top that is made of terrible fabric and falls apart so quickly. Not all of their clothing is like this- but enough to be embarrassing to sell. Also- the extremely overexaggerated good reviews (that were all written on the same day)….lol. Definitely don’t force your employees to write insanely good reviews because no one is buying that, and it just shows that the directors/managers know that their employees are unhappy but refuse to do anything about it. Those fake reviews are not negating the real reviews. High turnover. I saw so many great employees leave because of how unhappy they were at PAIGE. The managers completely ignore this while refusing to believe that they can or should treat their employees respectfully. Everyone I have spoken to that has moved on from this company, is a million times happier. We actually can’t believe we ever put up with this joke of a company. All in all, if you REALLY need a job, I suppose you can apply here. But if you can help it, stay far away.
