Pros
I worked at PBHS for a year and a half. I was sorry to have to leave. -They are very gracious about hiring entry-level personnel. That's not easy to come by in an area of the country that is loaded with tech-savvy people. -They don't micro-manage! This was HUGE for me. -The people there are hard workers and a lot of fun to work with. I will miss the back and forth banter between cubes! -The CEO and Vice President were always friendly. I never felt uncomfortable around them. -As long as we were fairly consistent and worked our full 8 hours, we could make our own schedule. Another HUGE plus for everyone! It makes for happier employees.
Cons
-The communication between departments is non-existent. It's a very busy office and many times it's hard to keep up with the monthly deadlines. I actually found this challenging and didn't mind it, however it lead to constant push-back between departments over who's responsibility it is to handle certain procedures. Department management provided us with a clear outline to follow, however some resisted this and it was left to the employee to reaffirm on a regular basis. This constant confrontation got a little old, but it wouldn't stop me from recommending working there. -The pay and benefits are sub-par to what others are paid in the north bay area.
