Pros

Higher than average starting wage, Union Job (though the union does little), steady work. 4-10 work schedule. In the past there had been way too much mandatory overtime, but they've relaxed that by a large amount. The 4-10 work schedule means you get a 3 day weekend on most weeks. There's always a bit of chaos in the shop and jobs being moved up and down in priority, but the work is more or less steady, no downtime. While there are bad apples, and the ones here are rotten to the core, MOST of the people here are good solid people who just want to do their jobs.

Cons

Toxic Work Environment, Disinterested and Distracted Management Team, Random Interference from a bloated corporation. There is a bunch of really toxic and bitter leftover boomers who are past retirement age who are literally staying on just to fight with the other toxic and bitter leftovers. Several of them should have been fired a long long time ago, and one in particular is a horrible manipulative psychopath. The management team doesn't really take any kind of active role in production or the shop, and the corporate atmosphere creates a over emphasis on filling out forms and other time wasting activities meaning that it's more or less a freeforall in the shop. Most people just come in and do their job, but there's always going to be people who are toxic and trying to cause problems for everyone else.
