Cons
My experience at PCA taught me that this company is shady. I was told no sales involved, no commision, above minimum wage, and the job is to promote spa and salon services to businesses by giving presentations. When I for a second interview and got trained, I learned it was a lie. It's a business to business sales job which involves selling discount coupons on salon and spa services. PCA staff members ensured me and other candidates we will earn high income, be successful in life and have fun. I believed them cuz they told us this by firsthand experience. I now realized I lacked common sense when I got inspired by them and accepted the job despite that they lied about what it was. I did not get hourly pay. It turned out to be commission based. The job is repetitive and boring. Almost everyone rejects the coupons for multiple reasons. These coupons are not cash cows which means on a daily basis VERY small commision or nothing. Trainers actually lie (tell lies they can get away with) to prospects so they can make sales and encouraged trainees to do the same. The lie about the job description should've been a red flag. I learned my lesson.
Pros
PCA is a very transparent company especially how the interviewing process is conducted. There is a first interview which is one on one. You are shown samples of actual current promotions and the entire process of how traffic flow and exposure is explained at length including diagrams to make the concept easier to understand. If selected for a second interview, you are invited back for a job shadow day to see exactly what a typical day consist of to again provide 100% transparency. This all happens before any candidate is offered employment. This is all in hopes that the company figures out your strengths, weaknesses and to see if you are trainable. Of course you will know by the end of the day if this type of promotional work is for you or not. This process is crucial because if hired, the company will invest substantial resources training you to succeed.
Cons
There are absolutely none that I can think of.
