Pros

The partners of the firm have strong direction and elevating the company forward. Strong set of employees. You'll be exposed to a wide array of technologies. Great place to start a career. Highly recommend applying here, although it was not for me. I was definitely on the "weaker" end of developers.

Cons

You'll either fit into the company "culture" or not. But either way, you'll learn a great deal amount to progress you forward into your career. Because the firm is small, and employees are spread across different clients, connecting with your fellow employees may be a bit difficult. Everyone seems to love the 12 hour work day, which is great for a consulting firm, but may not be the lifestyle for everyone. There also tends to be a sense of "superiority" among the earlier employees... which was one of the biggest drawbacks. In my opinion, unless you're truly passionate about the work PDG does, it'll be difficult for you to get into the momentum. Personally, my own career goals just didn't align with the company's mission but regardless, no matter how messy the structure is, it's a great to work.

PDG Consulting Response

We greatly appreciate the time you took to provide this feedback, and will certainly take into account your experience of our culture as we continue to expand. We are not aware of anyone at the Management Level speaking negatively about any employee former or current, but we will look into resolving this matter. In response to 12-hour workdays, we do our very best to stay away from this and provide an adequate work-life balance to our employees but there is an expectation that newer employees may need to spend some additional time getting up to speed on projects and from time to time when a project is in "go-live" we may ask employees to commit a few extra hours, but by no means will you average 12 hour days all year long. We are glad we were able to provide you the tools and skills necessary to take your career further and wish nothing but the best to you in your future endeavors!
