Pros

beautiful work environment, pretty people, occasional company wide trips (although in retrospect, these were rather miserable and always gave me a migraine.) Wayne Braun is an excellent designer.

Cons

They put on a good show and make it seem like they care about employees but in reality, it's a pretty dog-eat-dog environment in which partners have "favorites." There has historically been tremendous turnover at PDR, even if you don't consider the huge layoffs in the last few years. I remember in the early 2000's. almost the entire senior associate group left at once, due to their treatment by the partners. Very top heavy. It's clear that you are either "in" or "out' and if you are "out", they will show you the door in the most dispassionate way possible. It's interesting though, because some of those that seem to be able to dump young talent so heartlessly, are often pushed out eventually by other top management. Karma. The whole firm is based on a coup d'etat philosophy. The original founders were forced out by their underlings and since then, that paranoia has permeated the whole firm and made it a miserable place to work. One of the best days of my life was the day I left PDR.

Pros

Pros would be that your coworkers can be fun and there are decent benefits for how small the firm is.

Cons

Cons are the leadership. Some may be good at being architects or designers, but the leadership team as a whole and individually do not know how to run a business. It would make sense if each had their own business know-how to bring to the firm but none of them do. There is a reason there are constant layoffs and they can't seem to retain talent.
