Pros

Fun culture Great people Half day fridays Typically 2 weeks of vacation AND 2 weeks of sick time. May get days off at Christmas if the company was profitable.

Cons

You can’t use your sick time for vacation, and you can’t roll over hours unless you have a specific reason. Base salaries on market value not what you do as an employee. No paid maternity leave - because you have to pay health insurance back to PDR once you return from maternity leave, and Short term disability only pays up to 6-8 weeks and 60% of your salary (not taxed) you basically are dipping into savings to live for 3 months. It’s pretty stressful especially when you are trying to figure out new family dynamics. Lots of rework because leadership likes the change and edit. Layoffs when the market goes down. PDR works on a profit share - so if it was a good year then you get a bonus, if not - then no bonus and you may not get the week of Christmas off even though you worked overtime. Leadership not aligned Constant change

Pros

Pros would be that your coworkers can be fun and there are decent benefits for how small the firm is.

Cons

Cons are the leadership. Some may be good at being architects or designers, but the leadership team as a whole and individually do not know how to run a business. It would make sense if each had their own business know-how to bring to the firm but none of them do. There is a reason there are constant layoffs and they can't seem to retain talent.
