Pros

I have worked for PETA for 5 years collectively and couldn't be happier. Being someone who has been in animal rights for 11years, it is easy to get depressed and overwhelmed with all of the work to do in the movement. Working for PETA gives me such hope as I see so many people working so hard for the animals. People work REALLY hard here and truly care. Being surrounded by this PETA community is so encouraging. Management is also very understanding of your life outside of work and even will give you time to take care of your companion animals like vet appointments etc. An awesome place to work! There is room to grow and the benefits are super!

Cons

I worked in Campaigns before I worked in Development and it was a much faster pace with a lot of travel. It was more suited for my younger days when I had little else in my life but work but now that I have more happening in my life outside of work, I am so happy with my position in Development where I can work within normal business hours.
