Pros
Some of the greatest and most caring individuals work for this company. Good benefits. Great clients.
Cons
Ineffective HR department. There are so many middle managers in this system that there is no good way for anything to get done. There are a lot of internal surveys to assess culture and morale(that is constantly preached about), but at the end of the day, no real action ever seemed to come from them. Also, staff are frequently targeted after the “anonymous” surveys are completed regarding their submissions. Family name and potential connections reign supreme with Pipestone, the better livestock/ag industry connections you have the more likely you are to advance within this company. There are also a lot of cliques within this system, one wrong misstep with one person and your future with the company is virtually over. Don’t expect much help from HR unless you work inside a pig barn, office workers are truly not a priority. Pay structure is also a very closely guarded secret within the company.
