Decent pay but horrible training - Account Executive PLS Logistics Services Employee Review

Pros

They pay you 40k a year. Generally friendly environment

Cons

The hours are long. They expect you there by 7:45 & you have to make 200 outbound calls a day. The leads they give you are mostly used up and have already been called hundreds of time. The script they give you is a waste of time because most people don’t wanna hear it. If you do get someone interested they’ll most likely give you the run around until they need you for a quote. The environment is noisy and they play loud music on the calling floor so it’s really hard to focus unless you thrive in chaotic environment.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
