Pros

Can focus on new business development and not worry about trying to cover loads, HOWEVER, the logistics coordinators you are forced to work with are inexperienced at best. Consistent social team building events.

Cons

2% commission to start is a joke. Trying to sell in a down market where margins are razor thin is hard enough, then you have to rely on inexperienced coordinators to run your quotes and source trucks because they won't let you do it yourself even if capable. Smile and dial, 200 dials a day with leads that have been beat to death for years. branches just trade the same customers back and forth, cutthroat competition between branches stealing leads, it's a meat grinder. For every 10 people they hire, 1 will make it thru 5 months. YOu just need to be the best person in your class and you'll be fine, they;ll just give you accounts when they fire people. Managers have little leadership experience, half of them never even really sold themselves so it's funny to label them, "sales managers". If you have dependents and need health insurance you'll make more money at McDonalds or SHeatz, $600+ a month for insurance. 50+ hours a week, after insurance premiums with dependents you're making $15/hr.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
