Pros

The company did train me on how to become a broker; however, I took a lot of brow beating and brain damage from them over the 2 years I was there. Plus, the daily grind getting through their B.S. to make it where I am today. They mostly taught me: how NOT to act.

Cons

They control all of their contractors by having passwords to access their company's website and backdoor software programs, which they will shutoff the second they (David Perkins-Scott McNally) get wind of anything they don't like. So, everyone within the company operates with a FEAR that they will be out of business at any time. The Moral within the company is horrible, and so they counteract it with hiring new sales people by the 100s. Their boot camps routinely have 30-40 new robots ready to hit the streets running every 2 weeks. If you try to give them corrective criticism, they tell you to SHUT-UP and just do as we say!

POP Yachts Response

Firstly, I want to thank you for the two years of service, and the 80 boats that you sold. That is quite an accomplishment. I am surprised by the anger and resentment that is coming from your post. Resentment isn't born overnight, so it sounds like even though the model was working for you, you were not happy with how the company was being run, and held management in contempt. I do not know the particulars of your situation, but I am wondering if maybe that had something to do with why a business would "get rid of" one of their top salespeople. I am sure it wasn't an easy decision for them, as they do value loyalty as well as numbers. Reading all the words you chose to capitalize, sounds like it was probably for the best. I think it is important to consider that your experience, is not everyone's experience.

Pros

Nobody does it better than POP. With the ups and downs of today's economy, the only business that seems to carry on is POP. Because of their leadership and values, they take care of their employees and their customers.

Cons

Not anything I would change

Pros

Could be profitable if willing to put in a lot of miles each week for a few hundred per sale.

Cons

Commissions are shared between multiple people and departments.
