Pros

Decent people. Good launchpad to jump across industry or to a different one if your role is transferrable. If you work in Wilmington, you are near the beach.

Cons

Low pay. Pay at a now Fortune 100 company under Thermo Fisher Scientific should not have you rubbing against the low income line for your area. Return to office: Lots of business units are forcing people to be back in person either full time or flex. Different business units do not collaborate and this leads to huge data silos and a general lack of understanding how other business units operate. Finance technology is limited depending on what business unit you are in. Some use effective but outdated software, and others are still using word and excel for everything. Almost every team I have been in contact with is understaffed and hiring seems to be extremely slow for "priority" roles. HR is also terrible at coordinating offers and start dates. Growth is limited and variable. Some people get quality promotions and are well rewarded. Others are held to timelines such as "We can't promote you because you've been here for 11 months and 2 weeks and the requirement is 1 year. We will have to do it next comp review". International colleagues seem to be horribly overworked. Eastern European colleagues especially seem to be working at midnight their time while having already started at 8-10am their time.

Pros

Provided health insurance. Good coworkers Good exposure to team at client site If you have a good technical lead, the job can be great!

Cons

You have 2 bosses (Technical lead from Client Site) and your PPD boss. PPD Boss does not know what is going on If you have a bad technical lead, your life can be miserable. Pay is low No protection from abusive technical lead (coworkers on same team can have a drastically different experience)
