      Pros

      PPD (now owned by Thermo Fischer Scientific) is a very welcoming work environment. Direction is clear and training is comprehensive for anyone with chemical lab skills. Overtime is available and occasionally necessary, but well compensated and usually optional. Workplace has a very do at your own pace style of management.

      Cons

      Workload can be inconsistent, and occasionally overbearing. Buyout has significantly affected benefits for the worse and pay is fairly substandard. Pay is competitive within related field, but low in comparison to Madison cost of living.

      Compensation and bonus has been available through ebbs and flows of business. Hard work is typically seen and rewarded.

      Cons

      7 line managers in 10 years (through one role change) Company restructures often. You must be willing to adapt and thrive in constant change.
