Pros

Low-stress work environment. Good Benefits. Ability to easily seek information/advise from fellow coworkers.

Cons

HR information about your job position can be false and misleading. There are multiple projects (pharmaceutical clients) under contract with PPD, and there is no guarantee as to which project you will start with. There is an extreme variability with hours and working shifts. My interview was with the managers of one project, and all the information they provided me was irrelevant, as I was placed on a different project with different hours and shifts. For example, i had been told 9-5 shifts, no holidays or weekends. The project I was placed on has 24/7 business hours and remains open through all holidays and weekends. I advise you to verify which project you would be in to verify the true shifts/hours. Additionally, starting PTO is 17 days/year. Any sick days count against your PTO. Any previously approved PTO can be disapproved if your PTO balance falls below the requested amount. There have not been many opportunities for advancement in the field.

Pros

Compensation and bonus has been available through ebbs and flows of business. Hard work is typically seen and rewarded.

Cons

7 line managers in 10 years (through one role change) Company restructures often. You must be willing to adapt and thrive in constant change.
