Rigid managerial hierarchy with little advancement opportunity.
Clear economic and racial disparities between leadership and lower-level workers.
Capable, competent and oftentimes younger employees are held to different standards and held far more accountable than employees who have been there forever, do less, are not required to learn new skills and make more money. Management is complicit in the striking imbalance in workload and accountability.
Toxic employees are kept on and not held accountable for their actions despite numerous complaints at the expense of capable and talented employees.
Racial tokenism, no upper-level management investment in DEI principles beyond actions that look good to external stakeholders.
It’s an organization that is highly antagonistic towards change.
