Pros
- Pockets of innovation and really smart, caring teams (if you’re lucky, you’re joining a great team), but it is so inconsistent) - Offers good mobility to move into different roles and try something else - Innovative technology but some products not yet well adopted by customers
Cons
- Constant layoffs, typically dictated by a management consultant firm (not necessarily employees and leaders that know the business inside out) - Too many initiatives and priorities mean none of them are important - New leadership has isolated themselves from others at the company, they barely acknowledge employees, and hide away in conference rooms - what is driving acquisition strategy is sometimes unclear and reinvestments into SaaS are confusing - core business and saas products seemingly become redundant - A lot of great talent has left PTC in the last year - Lack of diversity especially in women leadership - Doesn’t feel like decisions are made in the best interest of customers
