Cons
Favoritism will make or break you Not all part of the business are the same ( try to stick with the PTC side do to more opportunities) Some manager’s shouldn’t be managers and it shows Low pay for some ( very top heavy ) I would be wary about middle age talent , you will see a lot of senior talent and a lot of young talent that will leave within a year . There’s no in between They have a lot of problems keeping talent and you will see why very soon. Managers are have no directions and if you get one of the bad apples .. they will break your career there. If you get a great manager , you will thrive. The only problem is that the bad managers are in the departments that will have the most fun . I.e. Onshape etc My advice : Use PTC for a resume filler and try and stay in PTC side .. the other subdivisions will have opportunities but the managers is really not that good and will hinder your care. If you don’t believe me look on sites and notice the open positions that’s always there.
