Pros

1. Great experience for new graduates. For all yall new grads out there reading reviews, this is a review you don’t want to skip! (Even if you’re not applying at this location). For students, internships and volunteering are available. 2. There's lots of reviews that are saying that there’s low pay which it definitely was a few months ago, but bear in mind that the market right now is 17-23/hr (Starting with Pace (currently) is 18.00/hr, +1.00$ with Bachelor’s, +1.00$ 6 months, +1.00$ 1 year, same with 2 years, then +1.00$ at 5 years. Team lead is also +1.00$ and same with a Master’s degree). The new Milestone Program in place helped decrease the large gap in pay. You are also allowed Overtime (not much though) which helps a little. 3. Flexible Schedule for sure. GMs are pretty chill if you show them courtesy, they’ll have no problem allowing you to change your schedule or come in another day without having to use vacation/sick time (just don’t do it too much or they’ll revoke that privilege or even worse, write you up). 4. Variety in work: Depends on your position and area in which you work, but there’s always something challenging to overcome most days. Some good, some bad but at least it’s not stale. 5. You will learn fast and will be corrected on mistakes you made making your job easier. 6. Great coworkers, makes the work tolerable. Always willing to help if you ask. 7. You’re allowed to listen to music (only 1 ear though according to their policy). 8. Vacation: You’re given all your vacation time (2 weeks) at the beginning of each year (yes, vacation rolls over into the following year). 9. Moving up in this position really depends on you. If you come in to work above and beyond with a positive attitude and are excited to learn, you can definitely move up. 10. Little to no drama (just stay in your lane/let small things go). 11. Company uses ADP which is easy to check pay stubs, clock in/out, etc.

Cons

1. Expect your typical corporate non-existent training (which includes you sitting down for the first few days at a computer screen in HR, not even in the lab where they plunge mostly useless information in your brain aside from common sense, MSDS, and basic safety protocols) just to look professional. You must always ask questions if you want to learn how to do your job (which isn’t a bad thing, just might encourage new hires to quit easier/quickly because they don’t have any guidance). Tldr: Expect little to no training. 2. Turnover rate is down astronomically bad. It’s like 30% right now (rough estimate at least on Mt. Juliet campus), not a good look. This means more mandatory OT. Also, if you wanted to know why the interview was easy, this is why. 3. For you parents out there: no paid maternity leave! 4. Mandatory overtime before and/or after a holiday as most people may take time off before/after. Plan in advance! 5. Lab machines are super old and they’d rather pay someone to fix them and find parts from the 80s rather than buy a newer model to save time, money, and everyone’s sanity. 6. Pace only cares about what happens in a lab when we have Audits coming in to visit. It’s just like when your school principal is coming and everyone is on their best behavior. When they leave, everyone’s integrity drops to a degree. 7. Unfortunately, this company values degrees over experience. 8. Pace buys out companies for the short term instead of focusing on already acquired laboratory needs for the long term. This is really hurting everyone, but they only care about money.

Pros

Pace had an amazing work environment, the amenities available to employees were far beyond what was necessary for the job. Everyone was extremely friendly and worked well together when group work and collaboration was necessary. Truthfully I was looking forward to working every day being a part of this company! This job helped me realize my passion and helped me decide to attend college for environmental science.

Cons

I personally have nothing negative to say other than the location is quite out of the way for most of the people who worked there. I didn't mind the commute but it was a common topic spoken about in the workplace.

Pros

Good people but all had issues with upper management, and the company entirely.

Cons

Swapped ownership and no longer gives bonuses and, did not address harassment issues seriously enough to resolve it. Due to down sizes 20ish people were let go all who were part time. Injuries were followed with the firing of that person for “unrelated reasons” but seemed odd. I was also asked to do something that did not follow the guidelines I needed to follow incase of forensic use. And employee shouldn’t be asked to go against guidelines and it should have been handled by someone more experienced.
