Pros

Blue Collar Positions at Utility Companies Tend to Pay Above Average. Pacificorp pays their below the industry average, but it certainly beats minimum wage. If you want to get your foot in the utility door, this might be a good place, briefly.

Cons

At the expensive rate Pacific charges for power they are likely to lose significant numbers of customers to solar and power walls. This has been discussed in high level meetings. Be prepared for cuts in wage/salary and cuts in benefits every year. As knowledgeable and skilled people retire and relocate to better paying companies the dregs are left behind. They aren't necessarily very much fun to work for or with. High Employee Turnover Strict Work Environment (pretty much everything is a firing offense)

Pros

The employees that actually and actively do work and come together.

Cons

This company promotes bullying and has zero work life balance, they basically have reverted back to the 50s in relation to office first policy! So equated and behind the generations. The CEO Darin Carroll of Pacificorp was on a zoom call saying how he dislikes WFH as he was obviously at home on the call, you just can't make this stuff up, VPs quit and they turn around and get promoted because no one wants to work for a culture of favoritism and bullying!
