Pros

Flexible on "requirements" for some hard to fill positions. In all seriousness they often offer positions to persons who may be turned down elsewhere. This only applies to positions where they cannot attract talent to fill positions that are in dire need of filling.

Cons

No defined benefit pension. Poor quality medical insurance (as in high premium and $3,500 deductible to get to 80/20 coverage) Low / middle of the pack wages. Low level of utility experience in lower management. Short sided business decisions with little thought to long term health of utility infrastructure. AVL installed in all company vehicles to monitor location and speed 24/7. Fleet vehicles are old and high mileage. Little to no ongoing training for craftspeople.

Pros

The employees that actually and actively do work and come together.

Cons

This company promotes bullying and has zero work life balance, they basically have reverted back to the 50s in relation to office first policy! So equated and behind the generations. The CEO Darin Carroll of Pacificorp was on a zoom call saying how he dislikes WFH as he was obviously at home on the call, you just can't make this stuff up, VPs quit and they turn around and get promoted because no one wants to work for a culture of favoritism and bullying!
