Pros
Great benefits, 401k match dollar for dollar up to 6%. Rewarded the same way for renewals as you are for new business. Pay structure is best in industry and never changes on you. They take you entry level. You don’t start out “lower” and then work your way up. You get 40% of gross profit off each deal. You get quarterly and monthly bonuses based on whether or not you hit your quota. Quota is much lower than budget, so that helps you get the bonuses. Summer sales trip is easily achievable. Multiple streams of revenue, including spiff money from the manufacturers, bonuses from company, and commission on deals.
Cons
No phone plan, no expense account for clients, no base pay. 100% commissions after you come off the draw salary they start you on as new employee. Work day is 7:30-6:00 pm or later, no exceptions. In office 5 days a week. Lots of time spent on the road. Only 200 a month for gas. Easily spent in a month. Cannot access company database outside of office, which really slows you down. No hybrid work potential.
