Pros
Generous salary. It was the only reason I put up with the cons.
Cons
- Never had the impression that managers really knew what was going on with their business or even some of the laws they're expected to follow! All I saw were people who inflated their abilities. - Lots of nepotism. A lot of the higher ups hire their family and close friends. If any of these people regularly cause unnecessary work for you, you're encouraged to "not say anything because their friend/relative would know someone with the authority to put you out of a job." - Dishonest management who will tell you one thing and throw you under the bus when it suits them. (document everything if you decide to work here!) - Lack of policies and extremely inefficient workflows. - Lack of training. You'll have to just "wing it" most of the time because even the people above you don't know enough to answer any of your questions. - Poor communication. - Poor business decisions. There's more I could contribute to the cons section, but to sum it all up, this is an extremely unpleasant place to work. You'll be surrounded by people you don't trust and will eventually be worried about job security. It's just not worth it.
