Pros

When they are busy you work 10 hour days and sometimes saturdays which is both a con and a pro but pro bc your paycheck is big. You can use headphones. Unless mistakes happen tgen tgey take those away. Absolutely NO CELL PHONES in the building. (This is very difficult with children)

Cons

Work gets so slow you may be lucky to work 20 hours for an entire month. When I was hired I was told 7 hours 3 days a week. I think I only did that for 2 weeks and then they didn't even ask...they told you to come in...10+ hour shifts. It's crazy. No windows and no talking. Very much like working in a sweat shop. Pay is not worth the hours you will put in when they are busy and they don't acknowledge hard work either. Favoritism is shown to the full time workers even though they are slow and bring down production.

Pros

Quiet work environment. Large break room.

Cons

I was passed over for raises multiple times because I had long call times. When customers call and immediately tell you "I had to hang up with the last guy cause he said he had a 3 minute limit to talk so I'm calling again to continue to fix my subscription" and I spend 5 minutes solving the problem for them when my supervisor peeks over my wall and tells me I'm on the phone too long.... Maybe the quantity over quality isn't the best for customers. I pride myself on good customer service, I sincerely like helping people. And it killed my soul to be constantly told to get back on the phones when I was literally working to help a customer with their accounts. And told I can't get a raise cause the number of calls and how long I'm on the phone with them is too long. Especially when I would get "kudos" constantly from quality control listening in and hearing the clients say how happy they were. Or when I requested to be taken on specific porn magazines because I am a SA survivor and the customers from those calls are very triggering.. especially the Finally/Barely Legal magazine. EVERY call from them was horrific for me, none were calling about the magazine, only looking for a free sex line. I had a full blown anxiety attack one day and my supervisor tells me to get back on the phones as I was crying and shaking. I had asked multiple times to be removed from receiving those calls and I can only assume it was because it wasn't a religious reason because the Muslim and Christian coworkers around me never seemed to get those calls. Also people stealing food constantly in the break room. Bring a cooler bag cause they will steal, especially pub subs. One day the fire alarm went off and I immediately told the customer I had to get off the phone due to the alarm, I grabbed my purse and got up and walked briskly out noticing almost one else was leaving. We get outside and again supervisors are soon out there telling us to go back on the phones as the alarm is still going! All I thought about was 9/11 and after the first tower was hit, the other tower had their supervisors telling them to stay at their desks. How many people would have survived if they evacuated? I wasn't going in till the fire department cleared it. It's insane how in place with 100s of workers, only a few dozen actually thought this could have been an emergency. Thankfully it was a false alarm but I must call their safety plan into question for expecting people to work through the alarm without actually knowing it was safe or not Also I actually worked there in 2009 but the drop down menu didn't give me the choice.
