Pros

Very good relationship with some trainees

Cons

I wish I had read a comment like this before starting to work here: To begin with, I want to clarify that the score on Glassdoor is 4.9 because they basically impose you to post a review in your first week, and nobody at that time knows what is coming. Also, in the interviews they tell you that you will have flexibility to work from home, 4-day week, etc. What they don't tell you is that you need to become a Senior (reach 150k) to be able to telework one day a week, which is impossible to do in the first year. Also, it is true that you can work 4 days a week, but during those days you have to do the work of 5, otherwise they won't give it to you. Trust me, that's a lot of stress. There is no kind of work-life-balance. 7 employees left in less than two months, the turnover is incredible. You work from 8:30 (be very careful not to be two minutes late) until 6:30-7 pm every day. I remember that the CEO called a meeting very angry because he saw that there were certain people who left at 5:30 (the usual time when you should leave). Even a colleague left at 5:30 one day having reached her KPIs, and the CEO scolded her for leaving. Also, the micromanagement in this company is extreme. The managers ask you three times a day (8:30 / 12:30 / EOD) about your performance. You can't even breathe. The environment in general is very toxic. Nobody in this company is happy. At first they make you see how everything is wonderful but then you realize the harsh reality. As there is so much turnover, the managers do not socialize at all in the events and are very distant with the juniors, since they know that they are going to leave so they do not want to waste their time. Finally, I want to emphasize that those who are managers are the top billers, which does not mean that because they are good salespeople, they will be good managers. In fact, it is the opposite in certain cases. Please, be very careful before you regret it. We all did.

Panda Response

It sounds like you had a terrible time working at Panda, we are sorry to hear. We run anonymous surveys to our employees (via an external HR performance tool), where they receive questions on culture, management style, wellness, job satisfaction, outlook, vision etc. Of the 4,356 questions answered to date, Panda has a 76% positive sentiment rating. The revenue targets set for all Panda consultants are realistic and achievable, which means most of our employees enjoy the additional benefits and incentives. For clarity, our company policy for 4-day work week and remote working is as follows: The 4-day workweek requirements: • You are at least 4 months in the business • Discuss at the beginning of the week with your manager that you would like to work for 4 days and will have the Friday off. • You make a minimum of 36 hours per week (4x 9 hours) in that week. • The specifics of your input levels and performance should be discussed with your manager. • Make a plan, so you can work towards achieving your goals/ targets within the 4 workdays. The requirements for working remotely: • You have billed 75.000 euros and have been in the business for at least 6 months. • On the note of working hours, we do not hide behind the fact that recruitment is not a 9-5 job. Nevertheless, we manage on accountability rather than hours. In the world of recruitment, many of your most valuable conversations happen after 5pm. That is a point for anyone to consider before choosing a career in recruitment.
