I have been editing for Executive Producer Alan LaGarde, for over 12 years. He is a huge fan of hiring young people out of school. He starts them slowly and allows them to grow into storytellers. If you work hard, you will walk away (if you want to) a better filmmaker and story teller. They make solid television shows that are story driven and entertaining. They pay a very fair weekly rate, and the environment though stressful at times with deadlines is a family.
Cons
Because they are known for hiring young people, mistakes do happen. Some would consider this a con, I don't. I believe that young people learn and grow (especially in the film industry) from their mistakes more than their triumphs. LaGarde is kind & understanding, yet will allow those mistakes to be teaching moments so they don't happen again. I honestly can't think of a single con of working for PaperRoute. It is a wonderful place to call home.
