Pros

Fun culture outside of direct work (yearly parties, events, etc.), great office space, and interesting challenges are the highlights of my time at Paradigm. Other areas that were fun, was that it was great to be a part of a high growth company, and the high-tech solutions being proposed & worked on were very interesting.

Cons

Primary complaint is low pay. I received an immediate 25% pay raise for easier work at a different company. The incentive systems in place only rewarded teams with consistent and easily billable customers, where the team in question could easily load up hours with minimal effort. Alternatively, there were customers who fight over every invoice line item, and could usually get discounts, at the team's expense, as a result. This then hurts bonuses, team morale, and individual performance indexes, as performance is primarily tied to billable hours. Putting in extra hours of work was pushed ad nauseum, from my first day there, all the way to my last. Even after upping my weekly hours to 50-55, managers would continue pushing for more hours. There was no incentive or benefit to helping out or documenting anything, as it didn't directly relate to billable hours, which in the end hurts the company overall. Good high skilled employees had a high flight rate, as many knew they could get paid more for the same work elsewhere, resulting in inexperienced employees leading projects. And when experienced employees did stay around, they could easily bully their way into the easiest customer projects with the easiest billability, forcing newer employees off onto difficult projects.

Thank you for your review-in it you are referencing a program that we haven't had for quite a few years, so I am making the assumption you haven't been an employee here for quite a few years. What I can share is how things are at Paradigm now. We are constantly monitoring compensation through real time market data to make sure our employees are compensated fairly. We have an emphasis on work life balance, with our staff still continuing to work from home during the pandemic, even after multiple businesses have returned to the office. We have an incentive/rewards program that is built around doing the right thing for the customer, the company and the team. It has 4 different levels of rewards, from an opportunity to try something new to an all expense paid trip for you & a guest! If you would be interested in talking more about any of these, please feel free to contact us!

Pros

A Really great, relaxed culture. Understands value of remote work. Work life balance is a core value as far as I can tell. Paradigm has one thing that very few companies have which is they do genuinely reward and recognize people who put effort forward and care with further opportunities and compensation.

Cons

The pay is middling for this type of job but the low level of stress + culture of rewarding effort can mitigate that. Raises are not amazing but if you shine you can get promoted to a better role and pay bracket.

Pros

Company culture as a whole. Many of the long time employees are recognized and valued greatly by management and HR.

Cons

A lot of changes quickly that will most likely come back and bite them. New leadership is so AI and technology focused that they are skipping crucial steps. Tons of restructuring and getting rid of quality people because they staffed them in roles that they seem "redundant" now.
