Pros

Probably none, other than some of the coworkers are pleasant to work with.

Cons

Company is family owned, nothing wrong with that until you realize you won’t get a raise or fair treatment unless you are a family member or a close friend of the CEO. Basic care for employees are little to none. Pay is extremely low for the amount of work expected. If you have a complaint or concern, management speaks directly with the CEO - who usually doesn’t care anyways. Work here if you want to ruin your mental and physical health.

Pros

You’ll learn quickly how much you can tolerate in a high-stress, unsupportive environment. Some coworkers are great people doing their best in a tough atmosphere.

Cons

Toxic top-down leadership: The CEO is deeply involved in every aspect of the business, often in a controlling and aggressive way. Feedback is met with defensiveness or condescension, and open dialogue is discouraged. Family-run favoritism: This is very much a family business, and if you’re not part of the inner circle, you’ll feel like an outsider. Decisions are made behind closed doors, and family members are clearly prioritized for opportunities and trust. Hostile work environment: Expect to be micromanaged, spoken down to, and publicly corrected—even for things outside your control. Morale is low because people are constantly walking on eggshells. No room for advancement: Non-family employees have little chance for real growth, regardless of performance. Raises, promotions, and even basic respect seem reserved for those with the right last name.
