Pros

You’ll learn quickly how much you can tolerate in a high-stress, unsupportive environment. Some coworkers are great people doing their best in a tough atmosphere.

Cons

Toxic top-down leadership: The CEO is deeply involved in every aspect of the business, often in a controlling and aggressive way. Feedback is met with defensiveness or condescension, and open dialogue is discouraged. Family-run favoritism: This is very much a family business, and if you’re not part of the inner circle, you’ll feel like an outsider. Decisions are made behind closed doors, and family members are clearly prioritized for opportunities and trust. Hostile work environment: Expect to be micromanaged, spoken down to, and publicly corrected—even for things outside your control. Morale is low because people are constantly walking on eggshells. No room for advancement: Non-family employees have little chance for real growth, regardless of performance. Raises, promotions, and even basic respect seem reserved for those with the right last name.

Cons

Not enough space here to list all the cons so here are the highlights Nepotism runs deep - This would be ok if anyone non-related had a real opportunity to get ahead or make money here. Expect the worst of the worst while you watch the family take unlimited PTO, show up when they want and get handed anything worth managing. Unprofessional, toxic and hostile environment. There is no HR department by design, and it shows. Employees are left to fend for themselves, are spoken to with disrespect, are subject to watching their CEO throw fits that would put a hungry toddler to shame. In summary, you will be treated poorly, it's not worth the money and if you're reading this, please know that you can do better.
