Pros

The work environment has evolved since the start of the company! Back in 2014-2015 this company was still getting off the ground. Today the Passare has been a place of stability. I work with friendly staff, fairly compensated, great benefits, and best of all is the company culture. People actually enjoy coming to work. This has made all the difference in how our customers are treated. Happy employees = happy customers. Strong grown has also allowed for us to grow the team. This has provided a great opportunity for advancement! Enjoy everything so far!

Cons

Some of the office furniture is outdated, although complete remodel to Steelcase in late 2017 is what I hear. Also, have to have a passion for the profession Passare serves. Funeral homes can be slow to move and change. Must be motivated to help change happen, which can be really frustrating at times.

Pros

The old office was conveniently located, though like the team, the space and office culture was uninspired.

Cons

The hire-on "founders" had no domain experience, or any startup or product experience to speak of. C-level management generally dropped by the office before noon, yawned, and left by 2pm. VP's contributed nothing and mostly got in the way. Directors worked themselves into rabbit holes. The meeting culture was atrocious with full-day meetings to schedule future meetings being the norm. Effectively 100% of the product, engineering, and design was off-shored, and in-office individuals consisted mainly of over-inflated titles. All interactions with the individual contributors was done sight-unseen, effectively circumventing any opportunity to build relationships with the people we worked with. No respect or recognition was ever given to the team. Compensation at the individual contributor level were terrible, and benefits and equity are very poor (2 weeks PTO and stock option allocations in the hundreds). Ironically no retirement benefits were available. Management was over compensated and generally hired unqualified buddies to fill senior VP roles and above.
