Pros

The compensation is decent if you can get through the first year or so and the benefits are pretty good. Paycom's HR platform is one of the best I've experience in my career. I met some very talented and amazing people.

Cons

There is SO much wasted talent. They have managed to hire some very bright people, but management doesn't listen to new ideas or promote the people that actually deserve it. Instead, the very young and inexperienced managers and supervisors (many of whom Paycom has been their only job after college) tend to reward and promote people who stroke their ego the most. I’ve seen many people in the company passed up on a promotion over an inexperienced, young, peppy cheerleader for Paycom, but had no clue what they were doing when they were promoted to their new role. If you have an idea about how a process could be improved, give any kind of constructive feedback, or even tell your superior that you’re stressed, you can kiss any chance of a promotion goodbye because you're now labeled as a troublemaker and can’t handle the job. Instead of a promotion, you can expect unwarranted write-ups. Recently management implemented a new policy of having all customer issues resolved within 10 minutes. This was a drastic change in policy from the years I had been there. If they truly believe their employees are physically able to meet that standard on top of the insane work load they already have, management is even more detached from reality than I thought. Many of their employees are near their breaking point and it’s not uncommon for people to just get up, walk out, and never come back. Apparently they have no problem with firing multiple people (who were great workers and had been there for years) in one day when they don’t live up to their unreasonable expectations.

First, thank you for acknowledging the strength and value of Paycom’s HR technology solution. We agree that we hire great talent at Paycom, but we disagree that such talent is wasted at the organization. Paycom is committed to maximizing each employee’s experience and to support them in their growth at the company. Additionally, feedback is important at Paycom, and all employees are encouraged to share constructive feedback with their supervisors and HR. We even established a third-party hotline so employees feel more comfortable giving hard feedback. Regarding service times, we’re committed to both continuous improvement and supporting our clients. As business demands require Paycom to evolve, we will do so and our employees and clients are our top priority. Paycom is actively listening to employees and gathering feedback to communicate to the management team, including yours.

Pros

Get to meet new people every day, the environment and culture is amazing, and I am always welcomed wherever I go!

Cons

Stressful getting the hang of things. Took a couple months. Very worth sticking around because there is great potential to move up.

Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
