Umm... Where should I begin?
- Fake positive reviews on Glassdoor to coverup negative ones and not show in Most Popular filter.
- Horse race to chase points on a monthly basis and induced blind trust on process and management from Day 1.
- Appraisal/evaluation process with hidden micromanagement at every level. This needs a bit explanation.
Paycom has this "points" system for developers which they claim as revolutionary and fair, but the catch is Developers can only work and wait for result. You cannot present or convince anyone about the hard work involved. It is all in the hands of higher management. They will see, verify and award you with appropriate points. Even though you struggled so hard to get through the work and finish it, the person awarding you might've other opinion. Whatever may be the way they are awarding these points; they have least concern/thought that they are dealing with humans and every human learns and works at their own pace.
- Speechless on vacation hours. I do not even have words to describe how pathetic this is because Developers need to maintain their 3-month points average. So, if you plan a vacation for a month, you are responsible for your lost month points. Work before or after to get the average needed. Hypocrisy lies in Glassdoor comments as most of the responses have recommendation to utilize vacation hours.
- Performance improvement notice if you do not meet monthly minimum points on a 3-month streak.
- No value for your previous experience just because the technology is irrelevant, and you will eat the bait of grandiosity, benefits and Glassdoor fake positive reviews.
Of course, who is using 1980’s technology now? Do not hire irrelevant experience candidates with generic job descriptions and underpaid salaries for your profits.
- Everything is in-house. Paycom doesn't use tools and cutting-edge technologies to save $$ and show a good balance sheet but EOD you will learn nothing out of their in-house development.
- No Internal Transfers until management does so. There is nothing you wish/ you need/ whatever "you". There is no you!
- You will see a vacation recommended (which will be stressful points chase)/ we will let the management know your concern (but never implement a solution)/ you should have talked to your manager (but you will be on the firing line) response under this review.
