Staff routinely call out leaving those who do show up short staffed. Management care less about the quality of care that residents receive than just having a body to fill a position. If you are one of the staff members that genuinely do care, you will be rewarded by taking on the workload of co-workers who take multiple prolonged breaks or hide in patients rooms. There are no repercussions to staff who are written up for not doing their job or treating the residents poorly.
