Pros
The field of audiology is very interesting. It's a great experience being able to work with newborn babies.
Cons
The pay is terrible. I live in NYC and my starting salary was $13.65 an hour. I've been working there a year now and I make $13.74 and hour. I have done wonders with my $0.09 raise! My regional supervisor is very strict with working over 30 hours a week, and taking a mandatory lunch break after 6 hours. The company also forces use to show the parents this "educational" 3 minute video before we screen the babies. None of the parents watch it, and half the time they ask me to shut it off.
